WICEN Vic: Former member 608 John Elliott now a SK

Dear WICEN Vic members,

Further to an earlier email by Paul VK3DPW, Gerard VK3GER has provided additional information with regards to VK3CVF now SK.

John’s last event with WICEN was the Kenda Rally in 2016 and my first event was in 2016 at the A4DE so I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting John. His first event was in 2005 at the Oxfam Trailwalker. I’m sure many of you who had known John will have many fond memories. Please see below further information as provided by Gerard.

One of our former Wicen Vic members John Elliott vk3cvf has passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 78. after a period of ill health.

A celebration of his life will be held at Tobin Brothers Berwick, 21 Lyall Road, Berwick. Melways 111D7, on Thursday 9 March, from 10.30 am.

The proceedings will be available on-line.
