Hi all,

 

Thank you to those members checking in last night. The 80M band was in good shape and all stations were a 5/9+.

After the net Peter 3LSN and myself continued experimenting with VarAC for several hours. On 80M’s running 5W we held keyboard to keyboard chat and exchanged Vmail with +5 sigs between stations (up to +16dB). Around 2200hrs as 20M propagation out of the US was on the rise we switched to 20M band. Running 50W each sig reports via VarAC were -18dB. So it just shows choose the right band for the right time of day or night.
