WICEN Vic: John Elliott & Nets

Greetings all,
I hope you are all well & progressing through the aftermath of Covid.

First, I would like to mention the passing of our longtime member John 
Elliott VK3CVF.
I am not sure if this has been reported already.
Many of you will remember John as a very active member over the years.
I dont have any further details - possibly one of you knows more. Please 
let us know.

Now, I would like to comment on the Tuesday evening 80 Mtr Net.
I am usually absent from most WICEN proceedings over the Summer months 
with work commitments.
This year has been exceptional with lack of staff, rising costs and less 
than exciting movie releases!
But Im back on deck now.
I have tried 3 weeks in a row to join the Net, but have not found it 
operating.
VK3EQ and 3BXG responded to my calls, but I would like to encourage 
everyone to participate.

You all know the reasons why the Net is a good thing to be involved in.
So, Tonight on 3.600 Mhz at 20:30 hours. (Every Tuesday).
Our recent Activation at the Wentworth Floods certainly brought to 
surface some difficulties with radio gear!
Also, if anyone's interested in staying on after the Net for a 'Data 
Group' discussion, the more the merrier.
