WICEN Vic: Reminder: WICEN Training Day Sunday 6 October

Attention Members,

With only 14 days remaining  and noting that the 'Upcoming WICEN Events' 
group Emailout last Monday did not happen, this is
a reminder to please confirm you intention to attend our Think 
Tank/practical day on Sunday 6 October.
We have 14 members confirmed at this stage.

The goal for the day is to flesh out ideas & difficulties and make 
decisions about the future thrust of WICEN Vic.
Here is the chance for all members to help set the agenda.

To discuss a training regime that can be mostly completed online. Yes, 
some areas cant be online, but I can say, there wont be a paper message 
pad to be found anywhere!
To review the current, and set a new syllabus of training modules and 
accreditation.
To dissect an online training module on Advanced Winlink.
To explore Trak, Pactor, Aredn, EmconWin, APRS with practical stations 
and demonstrations.
To explore alternative technologies that can add to our expertise and 
value. CB, Starlink, others?
To explore the WICEN Equipment Trailer.
To explore interference and good installation practices.
To collate areas to canvas for new members (CB Clubs, 4WD clubs, AR 
Clubs, SES, CFA etc. organisations.

The event will be at the Dromana Drive-In, Sunday 6 October 2024. Start: 
10:00 hours (NB: Daylight savings starts!)
Camping overnight Saturday 5th- for those with a long distance etc., 
(including movies if interested).
Breakfast, Lunch & morning/afternoon tea provided (and a movie or 2).
This will be only available to WICEN Vic. members. A private think tank 
so to speak.
