WICEN Vic: WICEN Organisation Review - Interim Report

To: All WICEN members

As previously advised, WICEN is undertaking an organisation review.

A sub-committee was appointed by the CoM on 16 August to undertake the 
review.  This sub-committee consists of Mark Hudson VK3MDH, Don Fraser 
VK3SP and John Morrissey VK3ZRX.

To date, the sub-committee has;

.  developed a set of Terms of Reference for the review (included in the 
Interim Report);

.  identified and interviewed a number of stakeholders both within and 
outside the organisation;

.  conducted a survey of members;

.  prepared an Interim Report; and

.  presented the Interim Report to the CoM at a Zoom meeting on 27 
September.

The CoM endorsed the principal findings and recommendations of the 
Interim Report and authorised distribution of the report to WICEN 
members.  A copy of the Interim Report is attached.

The sub-committee welcomes member feedback about the report.

To implement the main recommendations of the report will require 
significant effort over the next 12 to 18 months.

The CoM and sub-committee welcome any offers of assistance with this 
task, which (we believe) is very important to the future of WICEN and of 
its members.   Assistance with developing a competency framework and the 
training to suit would be particularly welcome.

Also, in reviewing the available member data, the sub-committee has come 
to the view that some member training information may be missing from 
the database.   A request to validate this information will be 
circulated in a future email.
