Hi all WICEN Vic Zoomers,

 

This week I hope to be on Zoom with power and NBN. Last week I was able to join via 4G and a iPad as my street, Kaola St in Belgrave took a very hard hit. Don 3SP noted there was some 20 incidents taking place over a few hours in the 1.25km long street. We lost power for 48 hours and many others lost a lot more. A man lost his life around 6PM when a tree fell on his car and we know when HEMS hovers overhead then lands at the local footy oval it’s not a good day for someone. While on the Zoom call and monitoring CFA radio traffic  a 84 year old lady about 20 house down the road had a tree fall across her house.  The street looked like a war zone and 5 days later the street is still closed and chain saws start at 7.30am and run most of the day.
