WICEN Vic: 2020 Member survey, Sub Committee update & Slack

All WICEN Vic members,

 

Survey Update - As of this morning we have had 44% of the membership complete the survey with thanks. Should you not have received your email please check your SPAM folder in the first instance. If your unable to relate the email sent to you last Sunday then please email me at vk3mdh at gmail.com and I’ll send you another.

 

Subcommittee update – Since the 16th August the subcommittee has met no less than 6 times.  To assist us with information gathering and verification we have held over 7 hours of interviews with emergency management leaders and more planned in the coming 1~2 weeks. We have also sort  input from subject matter experts in the fields of training, volunteering, compliance and sustainability. Our initial report is due back in approx. 4 weeks and feedback on the survey to members will be made available shortly after. A survey has also been sent to 25 Victorian Amateur Radio Clubs with only 1 response to date.   John, Don & Mark

 

Slack Update - Slack is a great way to find out what’s happening with in WICEN Vic.  We have only 20% of members connected through slack so far.  It’s a great conversation, discussion and information sharing tool. If you’d like me to add you to the WICENVIC page please drop me an email at vk3mdh at gmail.com and I’ll add you to the group.
