WICEN Victoria recently welcomed its two newest members at a social pizza night. Luke Erlacher,VK3UKW & Sean Frith, VK3FTHY were presented their membership packs by Ross Sargent VK3SF, Victorian State Coordinator, and welcomed in by Ian Morris VK3SV the Central/Eastern Metropolitan Region Coordinator, as Luke and Sean come under Ian’s region.
Earlier this year, Sean participated in the 2019 Pajero Challenge in the Big River State Forest learning how WICEN establish and operate communication stations at checkpoints. A year earlier, Luke participated at the 2018 Mallee Rally at Sea Lake and he’s currently the Vice President of the EMDRC Amateur Radio Club. With two more events remaining in 2019, and five to six events scheduled in Q1 & Q2 2020, WICEN welcome the new members and their commitment to community service and interest in emergency communication.
