WICEN Vic: Call for Ops - Apline Rally 2022 and two recent Event Reports

To all WICEN Vic Members,

Hope your all been well and have not been affected by the recent rains. I know of one member who was on flood alert and many others near those rising waters.

Please see below links to two recent event reports. The number of volunteers where very light on for the Stockman’s Rally this year. Our operational capability was approx. 50% down on previous years. Thank you to those who at the last minute came to rescue and made themselves available for the Stockman’s.

Also a huge thanks to Daniel VK3NDG and Joel VK3LE our two latest members. We appreciate your support on recent events and your wiliness to volunteer by becoming members. Also to Daniel who at the Baw Baw Extreme for going out of his way to transport two ill competitors from Erica Car Park back to Mt Baw Baw. Not part of our role but Daniel stepped up allowing those competitors to not have an unpleasant wait of possibly many hours before other transport became available to them. I know the event organisers appreciated your kindness.

Also to Chris VK3CJK and Ross VK3SF as the Event Commanders. It takes a lot of work with much of what’s done being redone several times over as the event officials advise of last minute changes. A huge thank you to both of you along with those who support you behind the scenes.

Attached is the Call for Ops for the Alpine Rally. If you can please let Chris know your availability. Also please circulate the PDF to other operators and any AR club officials you know. We do email all Vic AR clubs seeking their support. However it doesn’t hurt if their getting it twice for three times.
