Hi all,

 

Wednesday of this week we farewelled WICEN Vic member N#253, Fred Storey, VK3JM.  The funeral was attended by family and friends who came together to celebrate Fred’s life as a family man, his work life and as an amateur radio operator with WICEN. If you were not able to watch via the link (internet) on the day the link was still active yesterday. Fred had nearly 40 years of service with WICEN and was the recipient of several awards including the National Emergency Medal. I was privileged to say a few words about Fred on behalf of WICEN. 

 

He’ll be sadly missed by his family, friends and his radio family.

 

Net Control for next week Tuesday 29th June is John VK3ZRQ.

 

Band conditions were not that great. I’ll be checking in from Cobram next week.
