Hi all,

Thanks for taking NCS last night Mark - atrocious band conditions... the 
ONLY stations that were really good at my location were 3KMG - 5km away, 
and 3FDAA in Mildura.
John 3ZRX was marginal.
I asked for ZRX to meet me on 160M, he suggested 1.830. Copy was good, 
but I had a noise on that frequency, so QSY to 1.835. Good copy - 4/9 
was his report.
After the contact with John, 3HJ Luke (an old friend from many years 
ago), then 3YE and 3NE called in - ALL 5/9+10 or more. Excellent copy 
from Chelsea to Gisbourne...

The point is, 80 Mtr was S..t! for the second week. 160 is an 
alternative. Graham, 3KMG reported that he could hear the other stations 
on 160, but couldnt TX. as only a 80Mtr antenna.

Anyhow, those with 160 on the band selector, would be good to research 
an antenna?
I was using 100w and a full wave loop - but the loop is only 4 mtr above 
ground and following the slope of the yard (significant).
