WICEN Vic: Weekly WICEN Vic Zoom Meetup

Hi all,

 

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to doing it again. Lock down that is.  Apologies for the cancelation of last week’s meeting at short notice as I was unwell and wouldn’t have been up for it.   We will however be back tomorrow evening for our usual zoom meet up.  I’ll make sure tomorrow Paul if you’re on the call to give you time for an AREDN update.  Also if your available and there will be more information to come please make yourself available on Friday July 17th at 7.30PM for a zoom session hosted by BAREC, Bendigo Amateur Radio & Electronics Club.  Myself, John 3ZRX and Chris 3CJK will be presenting.  We will be discussing all things Emcomm, WICEN, Exercise Magpie and the differences between the Emcomm HF System and Winlink.

 

BAREC is looking at providing a local radio support network for times of need and WICEN has a little experience in that space.  Our hope is BAREC will do it with WICEN and doing it alone might not be in the best interest of the community or club.  So please out the date and time in your diary’s, more info to come once the club releases it and the more WICEN members on the Zoom session the better.
