WICEN Vic: Weekly Net 17 Mar 2015

Tuesday 17 March 2015.
The weekly net commenced at 2030hrs on 3600Khz.  A total of ten stations logged in.  Band noise was minimal here although John 3BAF  complained of a high local noise problem.  Maybe a Plasma TV somewhere?  Stations calling in were:  John 3ZRX  59+, Ken 3ALA 59+, John 3BAF 57-55 with QSB here. Graeme 3KMG 59+, Peter 3YG 59, Tim 3MIT at Wangaratta was 58 later to 59, Ian 3IFM was 59, John 3FR 59+ later dropped to 45,  3CFH check in only was abt 58 and towards end of Net John 3XD was 59.

Jon 3FR was concerned that he may have an antenna problem but had a strong signal for most of the net BUT dropped down suddenly to 4/5 on his last over.
Peter 3YG has had a rat hunting exercise and recently cleared the house of the “resident Ra’.  Well done sir.!
Craig reported an SES alert had been issued for the Western District for high winds and possible rain.   Nothing had occured here except for significant drop in the Barometric pressure to 1000mb although temps stayed high through the night. There were quite heavily winds however till early morning. 


John 3ZRX spoke about the upcoming Digital training session to be held at Upper Beaconsfield on the 1 April at 1830 hrs. [Not an April fools day joke either]  Emails should have arrived to all who registered an interest.
