WICEN Vic: Statewide Comms Plan & Cardinia Shire

Greetings Gents,

One of the tasks that Region CoOrdinators are working on is the 
Statewide Comms Plan.
Each CoOrdinator needs to produce an overall plan for their region, 
which will form part of the Statewide plan.

Provision of Comms by WICEN at Emergency Evacuation Centres is a 
major area of involvement with various emergency services, and is in
fact the most likely area that we will be called upon for assistance 
during a major event.

A very timely request has come to me from the Cardinia Shire, who are 
formalising their procedures and
preparedness for activations of their designated Evac. centres.

We have been asked to produce a plan, and install required 
infrastructure, to help them deal with comms. in the northern section 
of their Shire.
This would include areas around Gembrook, Cockatoo etc. They require 
backup comms. to their new Shire Office at Officer.

In preparing this plan, I will combine a site survey with a WICEN 
training exercise.

I am asking for expressions of interest and availability from 5 
personnel, to attend at a specified location (Lat Lon coordinates), 
and perform
pre-defined signal tests with various stations and repeaters in the 
above mentioned areas. 2mtr & 70cm Mobile & Handheld equipment required.
There will also be provision for testing a Winlink EMail data 
connection - P2P and via Internet, if operator is equipped.

This needs to be accomplished soon, so I am asking for availability 
from Tuesday 10 to Friday 13 March (next week), from 11am to 2pm.
