WICEN Vic: Central Eastern Metro Region - Training for 2015

Welcome to the new year.    Has been a slow start for me but am now on the move.


The WICEN Training Sub Committee meet and have put together a Training program for the year.    This program will run at our meeting on the first Wednesday of each month at the  Ringwood East Hall.


Program is addressing a number of aspects to ensure WICEN people a ready to perform the role. 


There are a number of requirements  that Members are required to undertake to be members of WICEN.  One of these is to participate in a minimum of two activations a year.  We also now have the Message Handler Training Module.   This years program will cover some Practical Projects like : VHF Antennas, UHF Antennas, HF Dipole for 3.6MHz, HF Dipole for 7MHz including Building and testing of this equipment.   Preparedness for an Activation with things like; Radio Testing, Antenna testing, RF cable testing, Fields Station setup,  Maps / Navigation / RF coverage, Power Supplies / Batteries / Noise suppression.


The program will start on Wednesday 4 March at 8:00PM at the East Ringwood Hall of Knaith Rd Ringwood East
